The Various Advantages Of Doing A Root Canal Treatment

Unless the tooth is managed extensively, the bacteria which are infected on a tooth will continue to go through this course. When a patient steps into the hospital with a cavity problem, the dentist will check in for the condition of the teeth to determine whether the filling is a good solution still or not. An infection in the teeth which is severe will not be a one that is restorable through the traditional ways. The only solution for these is to have a root canal or the removal of the teeth. The treatment of the root canal is a therapy that is a pulp which involves the removal of the tissue of the pulp from the teeth before it kills it.

The procedure for doing the treatment

The procedure of a treatment for a root canal will be done by giving an anesthetic, as this reduces the discomfort caused. For few patients even the sedation dentistry will be an option. The tooth pulp which is decayed is then removed by the dentist along with the root canal that is disinfected. This is then cured by filing the canal with the cement since it gets harden. As the last step he keeps the dental crown on top of the tooth which restores the functionality and the appearance of the tooth. If you maintain a tooth properly the treatment of root canal is a one which can last effectively for many years.

The various root canal types
  • Primary root canal:
It is a treatment which is done without a surgery;this is performed to take care of the infection or inflammation of the teeth.
  • Secondary root canal:
This is required only in circumstances where the root canal done in the first time does not completely provide remedy to the problem.
  • Apicoectomy:
It is a procedure which is done using the micro surgery where the root tip of the teeth and any tissue which is infected is to be removed. This is usually done at the time where the root canal treatments which are done regularly is unsuccessful.
  • Pulpotomy:
This is generally done on a kid where the nerve is removed and the pulp that is diseased from the tooth crown; this leaves the canal of the root intact.
  • Pulpectomy:
This is one of the other procedures of periodic endodontic. In this treatment both the pulp and the nerve is removed. After going through the required treatment you will get rid of the pain caused in the teeth.
